How to Keep Sweat Off Your Controller
Keep a small towel nearby, dry your hands when they get sweaty, and wipe the controller after each session. A washable grip can help you hold it securely, but keep the controller away from direct sweat and spills.
Set up a towel within reach
Use a small absorbent towel and place it somewhere you can reach without leaning or letting go of a handrail. Keep it clear of the belt, pedals, and controls. Follow your machine manual, attach the safety clip, and stop the machine before reaching for anything that feels out of reach.
Keep your hands and grip dry
Pause to dry your hands before they get slick. A washable controller sleeve or grip can add a bit of traction. Check that it fits securely and does not cover buttons or ports. Let it dry fully before putting it back on.
Wipe the controller after play
Turn the controller off and follow its cleaning instructions. Wipe the outside with a soft cloth. If the instructions allow it, use a cloth that is only slightly damp. Do not spray liquid onto the controller or push moisture into buttons, seams, or ports. Let it dry before using or charging it.
Make cleanup part of your routine
Wash the towel and grip when they need it, and check for sweat or grime around the buttons and sticks. If the controller gets wet inside or starts acting strangely, stop using it and let it dry. Stop your workout too if anything feels wrong.
