Both are great for a workout, but Dead Cells edges it on our scores because it asks less of your computer. Pick Hades if you want more story between runs.
Hades
Hades has you fighting through rooms from a top down view, and the story moves forward between runs. Each room is a short burst, so you get a natural breather before the next fight. The combat does want quick reactions, so ease off the pace if a fight gets busy.
Dead Cells
Dead Cells is a side scrolling roguelike with fast, precise combat. It scored a 3 for treadmill and bike, but it is a hard game, so expect to die a lot when your legs are tired. It also scored a 3 for computer requirements, one better than Hades.
Which should you play?
Go with Dead Cells if your PC is older or you just want action. Go with Hades if you care about the story and like knowing why you keep going back in.
